The first half of 2022/23 MY in Kazakhstan is taking place against the background of large current stocks and consistently high rates of grain imports, a shortage of railway rolling stock and a significant increase in the cost of transporting grain and its products of processing. The potential for product exports is influenced by:

a) uncertainties in the timing of the normalization of rail traffic;

b) limited opportunities for deliveries to China;

c) the weakening of the ruble exchange rate and the strengthening of the competitiveness of Russian products in the traditional markets for trade in Kazakhstani grain and products of its processing;

d) expected further adjustment of export prices for products from Kazakhstan.

Market participants rightly believe that the current stocks can significantly increase the volume of exports compared to the previous season. But everyone is interested in what pace the adjustment of purchase and export prices will take place, what measures the government of the country will take to regulate exports, how quickly rail transportation will be normalized, whether deliveries of grain carriers to China will be allowed, when to expect the opening of new export routes for Kazakhstani products.

From 2023, an updated system of state support for agricultural production and processing of agricultural products is being introduced in Kazakhstan, subject to the acceptance of counter obligations by recipients of subsidies. How will this affect our business? What other innovations are envisaged in the state support system? How is the preparation for the upcoming sowing campaign going?

We plan to discuss these and other topical issues in a new format. Therefore, along with the traditional block of speaker presentations, the participants of Conference "EURASIAN AGRICOM" will offer five specialized platforms for business communication with leading experts from various fields of the agro-industrial complex. This format, we hope, will help us in more detail, within 1.5 hours of each profile industry session, to discuss with experts the most pressing issues of the current agenda.
